October means it’s time to start bringing out the winter woollies. So how about this many-cabled sweater made with SPORT yarn?

We like the flared shape that covers the hips and the saddle sleeves that make the most of pretty shoulders. All in a two-tone colour combination that revitalises what might almost be a traditional Irish pattern.

Knit it on 3.5 mm and 4.5 mm needles – you’ll also need a cable needle.

Stitches used: 2x2 rib, stocking stitch, honeycomb stitch and various cable stitches.

Machine wash, dry flat.
